Lots to catch up on

May 25, 2010
Final program and last day of school for Lauren. These are pics of Lauren saying her nursery rhyme, Andrew saying his, the class doing "I'm a little teapot" and Lauren and her friend Anna.
She really loves going to school and has made so many friends. Her very best friend Andrew moved to Bethel Park and won't be back to Rainbowland in September. Lauren is going to be so so sad. They've been in the same class these last two years.
Lauren will be in the "Stars" program in September which gets the kids ready for kindergarten. I have heard lots of good things about the program, and have no doubt that she will excel. Sending her to school has been one of the best decisions we've made!
Oh, and we got the whole program on video that night--thank goodness!! The "professional" photographer forgot to press record on her camera and missed over half of the program!! Once she realized it, she panicked and asked Joe if he had recorded the whole thing, and if she could borrow our camera to copy it!! Of course we gave it to her--we saved the day!!

Lots to catch up on

May 18, 2010 Lauren's first trip to the dentist. She did great!! The hygienist that cleaned her teeth explained everything to her first, showed her all the tools and how the chair goes up and down. She was very patient and just very calming to Lauren. She told her how they used the light to be able to see inside her mouth, and then she says, it's pretty bright, do you think you'll need sunglasses? Of course Lauren said yes, and sure enough, she went to the cabinet and pulled out the glasses!! LOL The dentist came in after the cleaning and gave her teeth a once over and said things looked fine. I asked about her front teeth and the thumb sucking and they told us that around 90% of kids need braces these days, so if sucking her thumb is calming to her, not to push too much. I do mention it to her every once in awhile and she stops, but she always does it when she's tired, so I guess we need to start the braces fund now!! Those things are not cheap!!

Lots to catch up on

May 15th 2010 Me, Kasey and the girls go to Butler to Scrapbook Station. I can hardly believe that it has been about 4 years since I was there! It was a great trip! I have to say though, I was overwhelmed by the store again, just like the first time I went there with Kasey! The next time I go, I want to leave the kids at home so I can concentrate and spend some time really checking things out. It was "kit day" and I really liked the idea--came away with some really cool layouts! Kasey and I plan to go to the next one. After that we went to lunch across the street at Eat'n Park. That's us at the table--very enjoyable lunch. Then it was back home so that Kasey and family could make the drive to Ohio. Rex was starting his new job that week, but they are kinda living back and forth for the time being--the house in PA needs to sell before they can move forward with their plans. I love the pics we took this day--they are some of my favorites!!

Lots to catch up on

here we have pics from Carnegie Science Center--the preschool final field trip. What a day it was! We were to meet Lauren's classmates, parents and teachers at the shop-n-save in Canonsburg at 8:40. Well, that's what the paper that I had said--apparently there was another paper given out that said 8:30! Needless to say, we missed the bus! Lauren kept saying, Mama, they left without out us, we missed the bus!! So I had to drive back home, print out directions ( I know where I'm going, but street names I can never remember, and with all the construction around, I was sure I would get lost) and then I drove us there. Not a real big deal, but not how I planned to start our day. We had a good time there and then we had lunch at Chuck E Cheese. I didn't take pics at Chuck E Cheese since it's my least favorite place to go, and I have pics from there last year---that place doesn't change. :)

Lots to catch up on

These are from the Mother's day program at Lauren's preschool. The 1st one is of Lauren's best pal Andrew and his Mom. They sang songs and just did a great job of telling all the moms how wonderful we are and that we are loved. Sweet.

Lots to catch up on

Me and my best pal Kasey. This was taken at our 1st ever cash bash. Believe it or not, I was very sad. I had just recently found out that Kasey and her family were moving back to Ohio! Boo!! I will miss her so much, but I know in my heart that we will always be friends! Love ya my friend!
