Pre-school party

Today was Lauren's Christmas party at pre-school. Unfortuantely, she was the only girl at the party, so she got the gift that I bought for the other little girl that is sometimes there! BOO! Nicole, (the other girl at school) has asthma and they said she hasn't been to school for a couple weeks. I think Lauren still had fun--she opened the gift ( a disney tea set) and loved it! She immediately had to take everything out of the box and serve everyone tea! It was sweet!

Such a long time

It sure has been a long time since I've felt like writing hasn't it? Well here I am--I just got done working from home on some stuff for work and I remembered I had this crazy blog thing! LOL No pictures to post, haven't taken any recently of Lauren, but I'm sure I'll be taking some of her soon--we have been having true winter weather, so I need to bundle her up and take her picture in the snow. Note to self---next snow fall, take pics! Life has just been busy lately between work and getting ready for the holidays, there isn't much time for anything else---love the holidays, hate the stress. Anyway, when I have some snow pictures, I'll be back. Later...........

Being sick stinks

This week has been awful......I hate being sick! Why is it that some people get sick more than others? Why do some people feel worse than others, with the same symptoms?? The worst part of it all is, not being able to do all the things you really want/need to do, and trying hard not to take it out on others. I am not a "good" sick person--I hate it and usually just want to be left alone, but how does one do that with a 2yr old? You don't :( I missed work this week and I also don't like that---in addition to putting myself behind on work, I also don't get paid since I am a part-time employee. On a good note though, I went in on Thursday evening and didn't even realize it was my 2 yr anniversary! I got a super good review and a raise!! So, I am finished complaining. I really am grateful for my job, and for my raise! Please, let next week be better............

Who was the cutest Hannah Montana this Halloween?? Lauren, of course!

Most people can't believe that she likes and watches Hannah Montana, but she really does. She didn't like wearing the wig, so these are the only pics I got of her in it before she went to a few houses trick or treating. Joe took her just so she could experience it, Lord knows she doesn't need candy--she's a bundle of energy all the time without the added sugar! LOL

What a nice day

I still haven't figured out how to get some of the things I want on this blog, like more pictures, but I guess it will just take time. I was off work tonight because Joe had to go to Dayton, OH for work---Lauren and I had the whole day to ourselves since she didn't have school. She is such a sweet child, always saying please and thank you! We spent the morning at home, then in the afternoon went out to the bank and then did a little shopping at Target and Michaels. She loves to shop--what a girl! I made us pizza for dinner, but guess what she wanted?? Cereal! Oh well, at least it was something healthy. I'm going to take advantage of being home and get to sleep early tonight. Sure hope I can figure out the picture thing on here soon. Later.......

My first post

My friend mentioned to me that she had started a blog, and I thought to myself, what for? Well, the more I thought about it, the more I liked the idea, so here is mine. I am going to try my best to keep up with it too! I'm on the computer nearly everyday reading other people's blogs and keeping in touch with friends, so why not!? :) Lauren is at school right now, so I've been cleaning up the house--it won't last, when she gets home, it'll look like a tornado struck again, but oh well! I still have things I want to add to this blog, so maybe later when I have a few minutes, I will hop back here and work on it---till then.......
