Treats

I just remembered that I said I'd post a pic of the treat containers that I made for Lauren's class. So here it is. I also made them for my co-workers. A simple little treat that was pretty easy to make, but different. They are called "sour cream containers"---if you've ever ordered a baked potato from Wendy's, and asked for sour cream, chances are it came in a container like this. Crafty, eh??

Happy Halloween!!

It was a very happy Halloween this year!! Yeah!! The girls, ( Lauren and Kayley) understood what was going on and had so much fun!!! It was great to have them go together, they looked sooo stinkin' cute! They got a ton of "loot" too! It was really cold out, but we had nearly 100 trick-or-treaters this year, give or take a few.

Now it's on to Thanksgiving and Christmas! Yikes, I can't believe it---it seems to come around sooner every year......

Girly Halloween Craft Project

Here is a cute and pretty easy project that Lauren and I did for Halloween--she had a blast and thought it was too cool!

I got a white pumpkin from Michael's and Joe painted it pink for us, I tied the ribbon and cut out the "princess" letters, then let Lauren decorate it however she wanted. I gave her rhinestone stickers and the glittery ones and she had a ball--I even stuck some heart eyelets in there for good measure.

She is going to be Tinkerbell for Halloween. I will post pictures of the pretty little fairy, now I'm off to finish up some treat containers for her preschool class...I'll post a picture of those too when I finish....

Where has the time gone??

Well, since my last post, school has started and we went on the first field trip to Simmons Farm! I am so terrible at this blog thing, I'm not even sure why I started one! Oh, now I remember, my friend said--start a blog, it's fun! HA HA, maybe it would be if I remembered to update it once in a while! I do enjoy reading lots of other blogs though. I guess I'd rather be reading than typing!

I'll try to remember to update again soon.....at least before Christmas! LOL

It's been a long time

Time has been just flying by, can't believe that summer is almost over! BOO!

We've done a few things since my last post, but nothing amazing. We've been to the zoo, a playdate with Lauren's 2 little "boyfriends" from pre-school, a few get togethers with family, the new casino at the meadows, Lauren got a "big girl bed" and I spent a weekend scrapbooking with my friends. I'll update again soon....

The Princess turns 3!

The princess party has come and gone and I'm happy to say it was a success! Lauren totally loved everything about her party---the cake, balloons, roses, her presents--it was all her favorite!

She may be 3 but she's been acting like she's 15! So grown up!

And here is one of her 3 year pictures. Boy was that ever an ordeal! She was determined to stay BEHIND the back drop instead of in front and we had the hardest time getting her to just touch the big number 3!! Finally she decided to cooperate though, and I'm very happy with the pics we got.

Stanley Cup comes home to the 'Burgh

Way to go Pens! It was an exciting series and I am so happy that we got to bring that cup back home--finally! It's been a long time--I remember celebrating out in the streets of South Side the last time they won. I was much younger then, and didn't celebrate the same way this time, but am proud just the same. So glad to be a Pittsburgher!! :)

KENNY CHESNEY CONCERT

Can I just say ---WOW!! We went to the Kenny Chesney concert on Saturday and it was great! The line up: Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Montgomery Gentry, Sugarland and of course last but not least, Kenny. Everyone put on a great show, but Kenny just amazes me! The energy he has is just crazy---he sang song after song, and ran all around the stage---it's no wonder he's been entertainer of the year, like 4 years in a row!! Mommy's Little Princess!

Lauren is loving "dressing up" right now. These past couple weeks she has wanted to wear a dress every day. She says "look at my beautiful dress Mommy, I am a princess!" It's the cutest thing! She's been dressing herself in the dresses too--I couldn't believe it when she changed clothes 3 times in one day!

Dominic's Baptism

Sunday was Dominic's baptism, and it turned out to be a pretty nice day. After mass we all enjoyed a yummy brunch at Del's--boy was it good! Dominic was a perfect baby, didn't cry or fuss! God Bless our sweet boy!
